Edward started teething at 7 months. At this point he was still in 0-3 month clothes, so the first couple of teething rings we bought were gigantic and he could barely fit them in his mouth, let alone bite on them for comfort. We had heard about the Sophie teething toys but admittedly were a little put off by the price to start with. We decided to give the teething ring a go after a friend had raved about it for her little boy and she said it would be a good fit for Edward.
The Sophie la girafe teething ring comes in a nice presentation box, so would make a nice gift. The toy is made of natural rubber and the giraffe pattern is painted on with natural plant based dyes, so no worries about harmful chemicals here. The toy itself consists of two textured loops joined together by the giraffe body. The loops and the giraffe body itself are the perfect size for little hands and little mouths. As you can see Edward loved grabbing and keeping hold of it and would happily put it in his mouth. Even when he wasn’t teething, he liked to keep hold of Sophie as a sort of comforter.
I would definitely recommend Sophie la girafe for little hands and mouths. On the Edward Teddy scale it gets 4 teddies out of 5
